Short of the Week: Icarus

By Ashlyn Masters

December is almost over, and winter has now officially begun. For most people, myself included, this means staying inside whenever possible and going a little stir-crazy from the lack of fresh air. But Icarus by Vadim Sherbakov will stave off your cabin fever and give you your fill of stunning landscapes.

Icarus transports you to jagged cliffs in Scotland, snowy mountains in Italy, and villages perched on top of rock formations, ending with shots of both historic castles and modern skyscrapers. Sherbakov achieves the breathtaking aerial shots with a drone and somehow manages to make the transition between drastically different locations completely seamless. Icarus will help you escape the occasional dreariness of December by showing you some magnificent places you might not be familiar with.
